Case 1

An automotive component OEM with 190 staff was perceived to be an autocratically run traditional business. A cultural shift towards empowerment of its staff was highly desired. Other aims were to reduce product lead times and improve delivery performance. Using top down education on modern management and problem solving techniques, and supplemented by onsite facilitation, much was achieved. There were reductions in manufacturing costs, lead times (by 30%) and delivery performance of over 90%.

Case 2

A British market leader in the design and manufacturing of environmental control equipment lacked clear vision and strategic direction. With 250 staff, they had suffered from 'blame' culture, poor communications, inefficient processes and archaic management skills. Over 80 problematic areas were identified. 360 degree feedback, coaching and interactive discussions were used to help revitalise the organisation. By adopting various innovative solutions, significant improvements were made to their structure, QC, sales, customer focus and corporate direction.

Case 3

Due to high sales growth, a market leader in international logistics of consumer goods became victim to high staff turnover, competitor's activities and poor morale amongst its operational staff. A 'vicious circle' of debilitating symptoms had emerged from our thorough investigation. Over 13 directors and managers received mentoring and coaching to rectify deficiencies in their management/leadership skills, business knowledge and attitudes. They benefited from drastic improvements in productivity, staff retention and morale, responsiveness to customers, resulting in increased confidence amongst top management.

Case 4

Serious conflicts at the 'top' had affected a producer of leading software. It had about 27 employees with international sales presence. There were additional issues relating to corporate strategies, product development, priority management, recruitment practices, performance, organisational design, attitudes, sales and marketing. Through individual and group sessions over 17 months, there were marked improvements and enhanced understanding in all areas.
